The Tesla Model S just seems to keep earning accolades left and right. The most recent includes a 99 out of a possible 100 points rating by Consumer Reports, which says that the Tesla Model S is the best car that it has ever tested.

“If it could recharge in any gas station in three minutes, this car would score about 110,” said Jake Fisher, head of auto testing for Consumer Reports. Fisher said that the Model S’ performance in the magazine’s performance tests “off the charts.”

According to Consumer Reports, the score of 99 means that the Tesla Model S can seat as many as seven people, performed as well or better than any automobile the magazine has ever tested. The only other sedan to score that high in a CR testing was the 2009 Lexus LS460.

We’re guessing a lot of people probably now want to go out and by a Tesla Model S but there are only two problems. Production is limited and prices start at a whopping $70,000, not including federal and state tax incentives for electric cars.
