Ford GT Drag Test – behind the scenes video at “Pass Time” – Road Test TV

September 24th, 2010 by Road Test TV

Road Test TV – Recently a 2006 “Gulf Oil” Ford GT Heritage was spied taking on the quarter mile at Palm Beach International Raceway for the show “Pass Time”.  With a “soft” launch and conservative shifts, the 2006 Ford GT Heritage Edition ran the quarter mile in 11.87 @ 124.50 mph.   Not too bad.

The unique  blue and orange Heritage Edition Ford GT  is a rare piece that symbolizes Ford’s racing history.  According to the Ford Press release from 2006 the: “New for 2006, the limited-edition Ford GT ‘Heritage’ paint livery harkens back to the JW Automotive/American Gulf Oil-sponsored Le Mans-winning Ford GT racer”.
