While we keep waiting, Honda of UK is already taking orders for the NSX. The pre-order banks are now open in the UK and those interested in being the first to own the NSX will have to deposit £5,000 and wait until 2015 when the car hits showrooms.

“We are really pleased with the interest we’ve already seen for the new NSX,” said Phil Crossman, Managing Director of Honda of UK. “We are still two years away from the launch of the car and yet we’ve received over 20 deposits and that’s before we’ve even announced prices or seen the final production car. With this process in place we are confident demand will remain strong and early hand raisers can now visit any Honda dealership in the UK and place a deposit.”

The Honda NSX, which will be known as the Acura NSX in the United States, will arrive on our shores around the same time.

The Honda NSX/Acura NSX is powered by a mid-mounted, direct-injected V6 engine mated to Honda’s Sport Hybrid SH-AWD system.

No word on when Honda will open the pre-order banks for the U.S. market.
