Alfa Romeo 6C

At the 2013 Geneva Motor Show a Turin based design firm by the name of Istituto Europeo di Design was showing a concept designed by Alexander Imnadze. Known as the Alfa Romeo 6C Concept (pictured above), the study was showing a mid-size coupe that could possibly be added to the brand’s lineup in the future.

While the concept was just pure imagination, someone deep inside Fiat has taken a liking to it. It is not reported that Alfa Romeo is considering a 6C range that will include a coupe and a sedan.

Insiders say that Sergio Marchionne has made the Alfa Romeo 6C, internally known as the 169, top priority at the moment. It is expected to increase sales of the Alfa Romeo brand in the premium class segment.

If produced, the coupe and sedan version of the Alfa Romeo 6C will compete with the likes of the BMW 6 Series Coupe and 6 Series Gran Coupe.

Fiat has goals of selling 40,000 units annually by 2016. We definitely think the 6C will help get them there.
