March 31st, 2013 by Road Test TV
According to two sources that spoke with the Wall Street Journal, Fisker has hired lawyers from Kirkland & Ellis to structure a possible bankruptcy filing.
The sources said that Fisker is exploring bankruptcy as it looks for potential partners. Fisker is talking to Donfeng and Geely for a possible partnership but reports suggest that talks have already broken down.
Fisker declined to comment on the report. The company is on its way to make a loan payment to the U.S. Department of Energy on April 22.
Henrik Fisker recently resigned from the board after ‘several major disagreement’ with management.
