So, what’s new for the 2015 Nissan GT-R? Base price is up to $103,365.00. A 600 horsepower, $151,585.00 Nismo GT-R is now available. Minor cosmetic changes were made including a new headlight package with high-intensity LEDs, with smaller LED accents. The 2015 Nissan GT-R headlights are now adaptive, adjusting for cornering as well as speed – causing more intense light to illuminate further down the road as the GT-R’s speed increases. Also, there is a new option package that includes a carbon-fiber rear wing and trunk lid. A new color has been added to the 2015 Nissan GT-R called “Gold Flake Red Pearl”. The new color is a red based paint with gold flakes. Inside, there are minor trim changes.
Nissan also addressed suspension complaints in the 2015 GT-R. Nissan revised valving in the electronically controlled shocks, updated the GT-R’s spring rates, improved the bushings, and added a new rear anti-roll bar. The result, a more compliant suspension while maintaining world class handling GT-R owners have come to expect.
Recently, the crew at RoadTestTV were able to capture a 2015 Nissan GT-R in the hands of a private owner making a 1/4 mile pass at the dragstrip. As the video shows, the 2015 Nissan GT-R does not disappoint. Enjoy!
