As promised GM has brought back to the U.S. market a replacement for the Australian-bred Pontiac G8 GXP – meet the 2014 Chevy SS Sedan.

The 2014 Chevy SS sedan sits on the same platform has the Holden VF Commodore, Chevrolet Camaro and the Chevrolet Caprice Police Patrol Vehicle. The sedan pushes an exciting 415-hp from its LS3 V8 and runs a 0 to 60 mph run in about 5 seconds flat. Other performance attributes include electronic power steering system optimized for dynamic driving,  Brembo brakes, a near 50/50 weight distribution, and a low center of gravity.We’re looking forward to see how this performs on the quarter mile run and if Pontiac G8 GXP lovers will open up to the SS.

Sales will start in the 4th quarter of this year.
