As the 2013 New York Auto Show comes to an end, we are going to start hearing about some debuts scheduled for the 2013 Shanghai Motor Show. One of the first debuts to come out of the gate is the new BMW Concept X4, which hints at what the production model will look like when it enters production in 2014.
“With the BMW Concept X4, the BMW Group offers a preview of the future of the BMW X family,” BMW said in a statement. “It takes no more than a first glance to see how smoothly the qualities of a BMW SAV can blend with the genes of a BMW Coupe. The new Sports Activity Coupe concept from BMW is poised to continue the success story of the BMW X6 in a new vehicle class.”
The BMW X4 will go into production next year alongside the BMW X5, BMW X6 and BMW X3 at the BMW Plant in Spartanburg USA.
The engine choices for the BMW X4 will cover a 2.0 liter 4-cylinder turbo, two 6-cylinder options producing up to 306-hp and a BMW X4 M model powered by “our guess is as good as yours.”
