Hot Mess!! Nissan GTR vs. Toyota Prius Drag Race – Two Worlds Collide – Road Test TV

What? Everyone now knows that the R35 Nissan GTR is at home at the drag strip. Everyone also knows that the Toyota Prius is a fuel sipping econobox that doesn’t generally show up at a drag strip, except if the Prius driver is lost. However, at the most recent StreetCarDrags.com event held at Palm Beach International Raceway last Sunday, a brave Prius owner lined up next to a modified Nissan GT-R to take a stab at the 1/4 mile. The GTR is still running stock turbos, and makes 590 AWHP on E85 with bolt ons (intake, exhaust, midpipe). Best run to date for the GTR is a 10.2 @ 135 mph.
