Spotter Video: Matte Black Lamborghini Gallardo LP570 Superleggera and White Aventador – Video 2 – Road Test TV

September 27th, 2011 by Road Test TV

The Gallardo LP570-4 Superleggera (italian for “super light) weighs less and makes more power than its predecessor, the LP560. For 2011, the Lamborghini Gallardo LP570-4 Superleggera produces 570 horsepower, courtesy of more aggressive engine-management programming.

Lamborghini claims that the Superleggera will scream from 0 to 62 mph (100 km/h) in only 3.4 seconds, and reach 124 mph (200 km/h) in just 10.2. Moreover, the top speed of the Superleggera is 202 mph. We have driven base Gallardos and reached 60 mph in only 3.2 seconds, and ran the quarter mile in the low 11s at 130 mph (210 km/h). Clearly, Lamborghini is very conservative with its performance stats. As such, we expect the new LP570 Superleggerra to be faster and quicker than Lamborghini claims it is. That’s good news.

Below is a video of a beautiful matte black Superleggera LP570-4 captured outside of the Lamborghini factory in Modena, Italy.
