Drag Race Video: Supercharged Dodge Challenger R/T vs Supercharged Toyota Tundra – Road Test TV

January 6th, 2013 by Road Test TV

Supercharged Challenger Blue vs Toyota Tundra TRD SuperchargedDodge’s Challenger has been an iconic muscle car since its introduction in 1970. In 1970, the top dog powerplant was the tire shredding 426 cubic inch, 425 horsepower dual-quad Hemi.  In 2013, you can still order a Challenger with a Hemi – a 470 horsepower, 392 cubic inch 6.4 liter Hemi.  However, for some, a nearly 500 horsepower Hemi Challenger is not enough.  The video below proves that point.

The factory Hemi engine was pulled from the B5 Blue Challenger in the video, and in its place sits a 419 cubic inch Modern Muscle Hemi stroker. Perched on top of the 419 is a 2.8 Liter Kenne-Bell Supercharger.  The power is put to the ground via a Paramount modified transmission, driveshaft and rear end.

Lining up next to the Challenger is a V8 powered Toyota Tundra; however, it is not exactly stock. This bad pick up from the east, also has a supercharger. It has a TRD blower, performance exhaust and a modified torque converter. To keep things cool, the Tundra has a Killer Chiller refrigerating the air that is swallowed by the motor.  The result is a low 12 second cargo hauler.

Enjoy the video.

But, then in response to you showing modded trucks that aren’t yours.. i did the same.. Logic and reasoning is tough to grasp. you might get it one day. But i doubt it because your a giant douche.

No they don’t. They have a electronically controlled “LSD”. It uses traction control to apply brakes to the spinning wheel to send power through the open differential to the tire with traction. I own a 2011 Tundra TRD. its garbage and should have a real LSD.
