The Mosler is a rare supercar that has lead a strange lfe. Mosler Automotive was an American supercar manufacturer based in Riviera Beach, Florida which was founded by Warren Mosler in 1985. Unfortunately, due to production and sales issues, Mosler closed its doors in 2011 after producing a few amazing supercars.
The Mosler MT900 was based on a Corvette infrastructure and utilized Corvette C5 and C6 drive-line components, including the Corvette LS V8 motor (LS1, LS6 and LS7 depending upon the model). The goal of Mosler was an incredible power to weight ratio: hence the production goal of a 2200 lb curb weight (keep in mind that a production Corvette weighs approximately 3500 lbs). The original Mosler MT900 was introduced in 2001 and last the MT900S finished production in May 2011. Our research has revealed that only 35 road going Mosler MT900’s were built during the entire 10 year production run.
The challenger in the video is a Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren. The SLR was jointly developed by Mercedes-Benz and McLaren Automotive. The McLaren SLR Mercedes is powered by a 617 horsepower supercharged 5.4 liter Mercedes AMG based V8 and was built at McLaren’s Technology Centre in Surrey, England.

I watched this guy in the Mosler he has no respect for his car putting his
feet on the car to tie his shoes, sitting on his car and eating off it and
leaving his beer bottles on it. I guess after I left he finally learned how
to do somewhat of a good launch ptobably from actually doing a burnout by
finally driving through the burnout puddle.

I’m the one who drove the Mosler MT900, I have no racing experience, my
apologies to fans of American cars. I had to start in second gear just
because first was to much and even in 2nd was still not enough traction,
mercedes win but I think the mosler with a good driver can win easy. This
car is made for track racing not drag racing. I would like to see that race
in a track against the SLR.
